While there is relief that Osama Bin Laden has been eliminated, the threat of terrorism in the United States and abroad still remains high. Although Bin Laden was the symbolic leader of Al Qaeda, there is no doubt attacks will continue to be carried out by others. As stated by President Obama, “We must — and we will — remain vigilant at home and abroad.”

Terrorist attacks are among the many threats, natural and man-made, we must prepare for. Although some areas of the country are obvious targets for attack, history has taught us that no place in our country is completely safe.
